Quivira Golf Club: Designed by Jack Nicklaus and named one of the “World’s 100 Best Golf Courses”
Chief among those is the Jack Nicklaus Signature Quivira Golf Club. Since its 2014 opening, it has become known as one of Mexico’s best golf experiences and one of the world’s best golf courses. Look no farther than Golf Digest, which named it among the World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses in 2018. Or as one owner puts it, “Mexico’s Pebble Beach.”
This ultimate ocean-view golf experience is unmatched in Mexico, but there’s more than the sea that makes Quivira’s course so extraordinary. Jack Nicklaus started the course on the beach and designed it to progress in elevation, creating a very dramatic experience. Some holes provide sweeping vistas over diverse terrain that ranges from cactus and arroyos to dunes and cliffs. And while there are other great Nicklaus golf courses in Cabo, none boast six oceanfront holes, with water views from the other 12.
For all its majestic beauty, the course is also highly playable. At 7,085 yards from the back tees, and 4,766 from the most forward tees, the course can test the most accomplished striker and still be enjoyable for recreational player.
Ensuring the enjoyment of the golfing experience, Quivira has four comfort stations serving food and drink—one at the driving range and three along the course. Rounding out the golf at Quivira is a thatched-roof clubhouse serving as the perfect home base. From the 19th Hole Bar to the Quivira Steakhouse, this breeze-filled, beachfront oasis invites connection and enjoyment before and after your rounds.
